Well, after much ado, there’s not so much silence in this little corner of mine. This will be my own little world of thoughts, ramblings, reflections, sightings, and anything else that amuses me. I am oft an observer of things, standing quietly by observing the actions and words of others. Which brings me to the name of my site. Silent Corner is a little insight about me, as when in a large crowd I am often found as the silent one in the corner listening to everyone else’s whimsical tales, rather than partaking in my own (although that tends to change in accordance with the amount of bubbly consumed).

But enough about that. My name is Mike and I live in the great city of Chicago. This weblog is where I will most likely be found rambling about all that intrigues me and my friends. Some will hopefully be an entertaining read. Then in other cases, well, watch that paint over there peel…. you might enjoy it more…. then call a painter.

As I’m just unboxing the contents of my new corner now, you will see it evolve over time. I have only begun the framework. Come back as often as you dare, and feel free to leave a bit of wisdom behind.
