Peter Jackson Does It Again
I finally had a chance to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers last Friday. I must say it is quite a spectacular movie, keeping you involved for it’s entire 3 hours, and leaving the theater with a desire to watch Return of the King (the third and final of the three J.R.R. Tolkien books) immediately. If you have any interest in fantasy, and enjoy epic battles, romance, and drama, definitely get out to see this movie. Director Peter Jackson does an excellent job of handling the multiple storylines happening throughout the film. I was going to put up many more details, but I think I’ll wait until I’ve seen it at least once more, there’s just so much packed into the movie, I know I’ll be missing quite a bit.
There are numerous excellent scenes, but the highlight for me was definitely the epic battle for Helm’s Deep, one of the best I’ve seen in any movie to date, and puts to shame the battles done in other recent sci-fi flicks like the oft compared Clone Wars. I’ll definitely follow up with more after I’ve had another viewing and it’s more fresh in my mind.
