Like Father, Like Son

They just keep on trying. Clonaid had claimed before they cloned several babies, with a few that were actually making it to term (so this will unlikely be the last claim at birthing a cloned baby). It is not surprising, though, that they have delayed DNA testing on the first.

What’s next? Design-A-Child? If it were possible to clone yourself, would you? If it were possible to “improve” the chances of your child being smarter, healther, and live longer, through gene manipulation, would you?

While I will concede that genetic research is important, when it starts getting used to create life, or modify how life is created, that’s where I draw the line. That is something I believe firmly that humans should not be messing with.
