DAMAGEPLAN Guitarist Killed

CNN Reports:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (CNN) — A gunman stormed the stage during a heavy metal concert in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday night, firing at the band and audience and killing four people before a police officer shot and killed him, police said.

One of the dead was guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, 38, of the band Damageplan. The gunman also wounded two people.

Dimebag and his brother Vinnie formed Damageplan after the breakup of Pantera. Dimebag’s heavy rifts will be missed. And kudos to the cop who showed up and took down the scumbag.

Dimebag, rest in peace. I bang my head in your honor.

  1. Oh my fucking God! I just skimmed this because I didn’t recognize the band name. Dimebag is dead? Damn, there goes half the heavy in the world.
